Cluzee: An Android Answer to the iPhone's Siri

By now, most are aware of Apple’s new revolutionary voice assistant Siri. Until now, no other mobile platforms had offered a rebuttal, but today app developer Tronton revealed Cluzee, which is being presented as “your intelligent voice assistant.” Like Siri, Cluzee is a voice operated response system that has the ability to interpret and give feedback to the user’s questions and commands. It boasts the ability to search deals based on buying habits, read emails and texts aloud, and even find restaurants based on the users tastes. However, unlike Siri, Cluzee pulls information from the internet while simultaneously answering questions. For example, Cluzee adds “to reach the doctor’s office on time, you should avoid Main Street because of construction” following the mention of a doctor’s appointment, using traffic data to help the user reach their appointment on time. Asish Patwa, CEO of Tronton, stated that the logic and proposed benefit behind Cluzee was that “People are drowning in information overload. We don’t need all of the information available, all of the time. We just need the right information at the right time, which Cluzee intelligently provides, making us more productive. Technology created the problem, but we’re using smarter technology to solve it.” While the Android app was made available today, Tronton plans to launch a cloud-based version of the app in the future that will be available on all Android tablets and laptops.
