Nike Sportswear: Defiant. The story of Athletics West. (Teaser)

This promotional clip was created by Nike Sportswear, just a few days in advance of their “DEFIANT” event. Keeping details and information to a minimum, the teaser clip tells the story of the “Defiant Dozen that put American track and field back on the map and sparked running as we know it today”. The animated tale refers to the birth of Athletics West, the initiative which saw athletes in the 70’s being given token jobs at Nike, so that they could earn money for their achievements, which was at the time prohibited. Along with the clip, a new website has been launched, also promoting the mysterious event. Keep checking back for further info and look out for DEFIANT on October 19. Enjoy!
