Boston Marathon x adidas ZX 8000 20th Anniversary

Teaming up with the world-famous Boston Marathon which celebrates its 113th running in 2009, adidas celebrate one of their most popular running models and personal favorites the ZX 8000. Previously going under the microscope with the aZX collaboration program, the ZX 8000 seen here is a new contemporary update to the original 20 year old model introduced in 1989. The inaugural release was marked by new innovations including the pronation control technology, Torsion System which effectively made the ZX 8000 one of the most advanced runners of its time. Moving forward, this 20th anniversary ZX 8000 brings to the table many of adidas’ current top technologies including ForMotion and adiPrene+. Among the special releases is a Boston Marathon version with details pertaining to the historic event. To compliment the four-shoe capsule of ZX 8000 20th anniversary styles, performance clothing in the colorways of the Boston Athletic Association’s blue and yellow are also seen, complete with their unicorn logo.
