For many years, FTC has had a huge mark on the retail skate scene and can be linked all the way back to the late 70’s as a brand rooted in San Francisco. Its strong presence and respectability led to branch openings in Japan which resulting in this latest collaborative effort between FTC Japan and adidas Skateboarding. The classic Shelltoe undergoes the conversion to skate with a re-designed silhouette and interesting design scheme. The shoe is effectively separated into three parts which works nicely with adidas’ 3-Stripes theme and FTC’s name as the seperated blocks of color each possess their own tonal stripe. A lacelock for FTC is also seen alongside a tongue tag featuring adidas and FTC together. The shoe is slated to release on October 10th as the likes of Tim O’ Connor, Silas Baxter-Neal, Dennis Busenitz, Lem Villemin, Benny Fairfax, Dave Bachinsky, Nestor Judkins and Vince Del Valle are set to visit the FTC Tokyo location.
