“American Excess” is the theme behind Sould’s 2008 Spring/Summer collection. The collections addresses the current economic landscape of the United States pertaining to mindless over consumption of products without warrant. Spring 2008 marks a highly anticipated launch for New York City based label Pegleg. This season, in addition to their colorful cut and sew t-shirts, hoodies, and New Era caps, the brand offers a number of new items including anoraks, denim pants, knit cardigans, and rugby shirts. The website has also been updated with a new section entitled “The Leg” which showcases photos, video abstracts and a live webcam feed. Motown Records was the first African American owned record labels that achieved success in bringing African American artists into popular music. Although Motown eventually owned and distributed over 45 subsidiaries, its most popular genres of music included Rhythm and Blues, Soul, Hip Hop and Pop. In honor of Motown’s contribution to the music industry, Adidas has created this Adidas “Motown” pack which includes the “Motown” Superstar, “Motown” tees, jackets and polos. The pack carries the color black throughout all items. These items are now available at Adidas retailers including Overkill Berlin.

Upper Playground’s 2008 March releases have landed in-stores and feature three of Upper Playground’s talented marquee artists working their magic on a set of New Era 59FIFTY fitted caps. Sam Flores put the touches on an all-over print featuring his signature characters, while Alex Pardee created a collage of skulls. Craola rounds out the releases with a Halloween inspired bat motif.
