Like many streetwear brand owners, Hiroaki Shitano started his label, Whiz, by printing t-shirts which were given away to close friends. The brand grew in popularity by the word of mouth and eventually Whiz was able to open their own store, Lump. The concept of the brand is Hiroaki’s vision of the Tokyo culture therefore each season may greatly differ in style.
Whiz has recently launched their new 2008 Spring/Summer “Minor Threat” collection which was released a few weeks ago at the Lump store. Here’s part two of the collection which continues on the Mayan theme. These new pieces should now be available at Lump.
Being environment friendly has been a goal for many shoe makers in recently years due to protests and complaints from various green organizations. With this in mind, Adidas Originals presents the Grun Collection which features sneakers partly made from recycled materials. Five different models are available each with a different personality. Anyone looking for new shoes while want to save the environment could look out for these.

We have posted a lot of items from Futura Laboratories recently so we really wanted to stop with the FL items but this tee was too hard to pass on. Futura Laboratories, the brand by the artist Futura 2000, has released this really cool Topography tee which features an all over print of a Topographic map. These maps are generally used to tell the elevation of different places like mountains or oceans. New also from FL are some splattered long sleeve tees. Available now at the FL shop in Japan.
The Pumps from Reebok has been an iconic sneaker since its first release in 1989. The Pump system was innovative during its time. It allowed the wearer the ability to set its own support and comfort level just be pumping on the little basketball on the sneaker tongue. The Pump has made a come back in recent years not for its ability on the courts but for its look and style. Here is Reebok’s 2nd “Pump” Bring Back” series which include three shoes, the Pump Omni Lite, the Pump D-Time and the Court Victory Pump. These sneakers will be available exclusively at XLarge, Undefeated and Atmos Tokyo.

Nike has just introduced their new upcoming shoe for the Nike Skateboarding line (Nike SB). According to Nike, the new Zoom TRE AD will be one of the lightest and most durable skate shoes on the skate market. The shoes feature Nike’s Free technology which provides maximum board feel and flexibility. It also has the usual like a rubber toecap, a Zoom Air Bag, a breathable tongue and more. Other than the nice functionality of the shoe, the Zoom TRE AD looks pretty good as well! You can watch an interview with Nike SB’s Lead Designer, James Arizumi, about this new shoe here.
There will be six colorways coming out throughout this year starting with March.
