It doesn’t come any more high end than this…………… A real labour of love, this project took over a year to put together and everything about this project shines with pure premium, no expense spared quality.
Downtown Manhattan creative collective, ALIFE, and London based hatmaker, KANGOL, have spent a year collaborating on ‘IL PADRINO’, a classic, black, fur felt fedora box set, packaged with an accessory pack of hatpins and feathers, which can be interchanged and added to the hat according to an outfit or mood of the wearer.
Each box set merges 3 products in one, to create an heirloom that can be passed on for generations:
Fedora: Made in the USA, this 100% premium, fur felt body is lined in satin with a woven tip logo, and trimed with a roan leather, debossed sweatband. This classic fedora shape, with a center crease crown, is timeless and equally fit for uptown, downtown, the gentleman, or the player.
Accessory Pack: This entire ‘precious’ set, designed by ALIFE and fabricated by EVANYURMAN, the director/designer of David Yurman men’s jewelry, is produced in solid 14K gold. The set, which consists of 4 gold hatpins and 3 gold sheaths for 3 different feathers, allows the wearer to customize his/her hat in a variety of ways.
Hatbox: Produced by VERTICAL, a NYC based group specializing in creative marketing and production management for companies including the Gap, Donna Karan, and Burberry, this hexagonal, leather box, fully lined in blood red satin, not only is a place for the fedora and accessories to live when not on your head, but is also the perfect travel case to protect your investment on the road.
