Paris Sneaker Store Reviews Part 2
Here is the 2nd part of the Paris sneaker shop reviews! Just the few stores down from Sneaker Gallery there’s ADN snkr Lab. I’ve contacted Thomas before and we had a meeting scheduled to talk about sneakers, ADN and HYPEBEAST of course! The main thing that struck me was the small space and the dark atmosphere. All the walls and floors are painted black. They told me the whole concept behind store was that the name means DNA – the core of the sneaker game and that’s why it’s called the Snkr Lab. Even the logo (DNA formed shoe laces) gives out hints that these guys are serious players in the sneaker game. The small hints here and there that only true sneakerheads could understand. The all black and minimalistic interior makes you focus on what’s important in the Lab – the sneakers. The stock is very limited and selected by the guys. Nothing’s coincidental. hTm wovens and Terra Humaras were put in the glass Jars. Hand signed “Clydes” by the Clyde himself in the glass case. Albis and Clerks Pack on the shelves.
The Guys at ADN wanted to convert a wine-cellar cold basement into a chilling area for sneakerheads. It will definatelly let you cool off from all the heat presented in the store… We will keep you posted!!
Couple of blocks and about a five minute walk will bring you to 9 rue du signe which the legendary Opium Store resides.
I’ve met Yace and chilled with him for awhile. The guys from ADN, Opium and other stores support each other in the sneaker community. They all have love for sneaker culture and HYPEBEAST.
The Opium Store is famous for probably the only sneaker museum in the world! The rare species of OG and Limited Edition Air Maxes as well as Air Jordans are displayed in this one of a kind museum for your viewing pleasure. You can look, but you can’t touch!
Besides the piece of history that Opium brings, they are also a “regular” sneaker store which sells the best sneakers.
In Opium, the sneakers are the royalty set up on the golden cushions like the real kings.
Just like the saying “Save the best for last” we bring you Colette for our last store review. This is not a sneaker store. This is the “swankiest” boutique in Paris. They carry all the hottest brands. It has a more upscaled atmosphere than any of place previously mentioned. Besides from clothes and shoes (upstairs) they carry everything from books, magazines, CD’s, DVD’s, toys, different gadgets and art stuff (street level). If this is not enough, in the basement there is a water bar with more than 30 kinds of water!
That’s all folks. I would like to thank all the guys, who helped me out to create this feature:
ADN (Thomas and Guys)
Opium (Yace)
Sneakers.fr (Charles)
