« Just For Kicks » is one of the four features that will be shown at the 2005 Res Fest (the international digital film festival), travelling this year to 33 cities in 15 countries and 6 continents ! America, Canada, the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Korea, Japan, and Australia will all get to catch some of that sneaker madness !
Ok everybody. I’ve just got back from Paris and have reviews of most of the important sneaker spots of this amazing city.
Let me start with my comment on the sneaker culture: they love Air Maxes and everyone and their mothers wear AM’s. Unfortunately, just like in the US, the fakes have reached this continent as well but instead of Air Jordans it’s mostly Air Maxes. Most people who wear them don’t care or know about it. Sad, but true.
Now the happy part, the review. Besides checking out the obvious toursist atractions (eg. Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, The Versailes, Notre Dame etc.). As an official Hype Beast I had to check the local spots for sneakers!!

UTA has posted pictures of the new L-Style (lifestyle )collection by the Jordan Brand.
It seems like JB is trying very hard on the lifestyle tip lately. It’s all good in my book as long the designs are well thought out and put together in a smart concept. If any of you remeber the “Two-3 Collection” which was discountinued a couple years ago, L-Style seems to be its’ latest offspring. It focuses on off court apparel and footwear. Now you can represent on the streets as well.
ZoomTRE by NikeSB is a completly new model from the Nike SB line up. It reminds me a lot of Zoom E-cue, which was dubbed as the undestructable skate shoe and was designed by Eric Avar. I don’t have any details regarding this new shoe, but it seems to hybrid of existing SB models.

Here are the pictures of the S. Carter Classic Lows exclusively “designed” by Jay-Z for Kanye West. The rumor is that Jigga sent 100 pairs (of US12’s) to your your poppin’ collar hero, so he’d never run out of a fresh pair. This is one of perks of being signed with RocaFella Records. This is also the latest attempt of Reebok into the exclusive/limited edition kicks market.

With the Team Managers Series taking over the whole of this year in the Nike SB range, it seemed to me that Nike was running out of ideas. So I was pleasantly surprised to see some new Nike SB stuff that actually got me really excited. No intro needed on the pictures just take a look you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
