Lil Nas X Drops Hard-Hitting Track “Right There” on SoundCloud
Amid the rollout of his ‘Naserati 2’ mixtape.
It’s hard to believe Lil Nas X only released his debut mixtape Naserati in 2018. Since then, he’s put out two EPs, as well as his debut album Montero.
The first tape from Nas – who was unsigned at the time – was released via Soundcloud. While it’s been removed from Nas’ own SoundCloud account due to an uncleared sample, copies of the tape still quietly circulate online.
The singer is paying homage to his roots as he prepares to drop the sequel to the inaugural tape, Naserati 2, which will also live on SoundCloud. Two weeks ago, Nas shared a song called “Light Again,” produced by Daytrip.
He’s now returned with a new single, “Right There,” seeing him tap the New York production duo of Mark Williams and Raul Cubina, known as Ojivolta. Nas raps over a sample of a choir, a nod to his religious upbringing.
