Apparently, Birdman isn’t the only one engulfed in legal troubles involving Lil Wayne. TMZ is reporting that David Banner is also engaging in a legal tug-of-war with the rapper. Banner is said to be suing Weezy, who he says didn’t pay him for the beats on Tha Carter III cuts “La La” and “Pussy Monster.” The Mississippi lyricist alleges that Young Money agreed to pay him a total of $138,787.19 for his services, and entered into a contract with him regarding the production. David Banner also says he was never paid for his work on the We Are Young Money selection “Streets Is Watching,” which he believes he is owed $15,392.57 for. In response, a representative for Lil Wayne tells TMZ that Weezy ”was a Cash Money artist” at the time, thus making it the label’s responsibility to pay Banner for his work.
