Honda has just surprised attendees at the New York Auto show with a new Civic Concept. The Japanese automaker vows the sporty Civic will bring the company back to its performance roots. The 10th-generation model comes equipped with a new 1.5-liter VTEC turbocharged engine, LED headlights and taillights, and uses a slimmed down silhouette, abandoning the cab-forward design seen in its prior models. Additionally, it will also include a variety of safety and assistance technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, and an innovative Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure. Available as a Sedan, Coupe, Si, hatchback and Type R, the new Honda Civic is scheduled to go on sale this fall in the U.S.
