by L.A. Ruano, June 26, 2009

Recently winning the grand prize at Cannes for their ad campaign alongside American photographer Ryan McGinley, Fred & Farid present a closer look into their winning project. Entitled “We Are Animals”, the campaign cleverly lives up to its name with stunning photography in a great outdoors setting.

The photography of this ad campaign is just superb.
So, I love the artistry of the campaign. I think it’s bold and lovely. But as far as accomplishing the aim of advertising jeans… not so much. I’d rather go buy some hunting gear right now than Wrangler jeans.
All you hypebeast gonna go from Levis to Wranglers now… hahaha.
anybody who has anything negative to say probably is not in any position to do any better. if you are, then do it! i thought it was really cool looking and obviously the photos fit in nicely with the slogan. very cool.
Wooooow….
Can you say ACID TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nah
Nah
Nah
This isn’t scary …only because the girls aren’t wearing tops…..
But if they were really animals they wouldn’t have on Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm??????
YOu know what I’m talkin’ about…LOL!
This won THE most prestigious award in advertising. Seriously. WTF??? I think I need a new career…
Fuckin weird shit. I didn’t know that Wrangler could be this artsy.
I cannot believe this won an award.
bleh. . .I guess it caters to a younger audience. IDK, I think something like this would just turn off the working folks that actually by wrangler stuff. Why wrangler at all? Do you want to buy some now?
One of the best ad campaigns I’ve seen in a long time.
Well done, fellas.
this is effin weird
This is pretty good considering that I haven’t heard anything from Wrangler denim in super long.
Meth sheek ads haha. I especially like the second to the last picture. Reminds me of something like Children Of The Corn
WHAT THE?!
man this is a very good project, and great inspiration for our photoshoot.
I love Wrangler, in fact I am wearing one of my favorite pairs right now. Very interesting concept for their ad campaign. Not surprised at all that they won. I can see Wrangler winning over a lot more new fans with these ads, which they very well deserve for such well constructed denim.
Can’t wait for the one with Brett Favre.
