New Balance’s ever-growing roster of collaborators is set to expand next month as the American sportswear brand has linked up with the “quiet luxury” purveyors over at Loro Piana.
Rumored earlier this year, Loro Piana has equipped the 990v6 in a new color arrangement that has just leaked. Expected to be priced at a whopping $1,500 USD, the brief preview of the pair doesn’t make note of any game-changing elements, rather, it sees a calm brown and chestnut color combination present across the upper. It leverages its typical mixed material build by including what looks to be mesh and nubuck throughout. Perhaps the most important element of the shoe will be the tongue, which looks to feature “Loro Piana” text across its tag.
At the time of writing, neither Loro Piana nor New Balance have publicly announced their forthcoming project involving the 990v6. According to lunarcalisthenics on Instagram, Loro Piana VIPs were already offered pre-orders for the sneaker while a public release is set for September 5 via Loro Piana at a rumored price point of $1,500 USD in limited quantities.
