LABRUM and adidas Present Official Olympic Team Kit For Sierra Leone
Reflecting the heritage of LABRUM founder, Foday Dumbuya.
adidas has teamed up with London-based label LABRUM to present the official team kit of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone, ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games this summer.
Designed by LABRUM founder and proud Sierra Leonean, Foday Dumbuya, the collection features iconography that reflects Dumbuya’s heritage, elevating the design beyond traditional sportswear.
Designed with a vibrant blue and white design emblazoned with a reimagined cowrie shell, this same shell was once a coveted currency symbolizing wealth and prestige in African history. Since then, the icon has become an emblem of strength and resilience and is encapsulated in each piece of the collection with a deep sense of heritage and pride, whilst paying homage to stories of perseverance, strength, and resilience.
Rounding off the collection, adidas has adorned the kit with a white typeface that sits proudly against the bold backdrop and stands out against the curves and twists of the cowrie shell, alongside the adidas logo and Sierra Leonean flag.
