Acne Studios Embodies a Superhero Persona for Men’s SS25
See-sawing between cute and rebellious.

Creative director Jonny Johansson continues to steer the Acne Studios ship in a direction that is bold, unapologetic and highly rebellious. Spawned from the idea of centering this season’s persona as a superhero, creative director Jonny Johansson mentioned that he wanted to explore empowerment through wearing “the right clothing at the right moment.“ On the visual front, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection is nothing short of cool and sexy — vibes that thoroughly emanated from the previous collection.
The design inspiration stems from a place of childhood nostalgia, where every piece becomes a sartorial expression of clutching dearly to adolescent innocence into adulthood. Fire and earth come face-to-face in a turbulent dance, where shades of burnt orange, tobacco and cognac samba with powdery blues and candy pinks. Black is added into the mix in a myriad of finishes, signaling the color’s versatile nature from solemn to unruly.
Trompe l’oeil jeans make a return, featuring candy-colored plastic chains, graffiti, distresses and snake imprints. Though it’s menswear, pop-culture femme fatales, notably DC’s Wonderwoman, the Huntress and the Drowned as well as Catwoman can be spotted across the range.
Through juxtaposing elements, each looks see-saws between the idea of age-appropriate dressing and unapologetic self-expression. Accessories and footwear enhance the styling while also continuing to explore various extremes. This includes a new camera bags-inspired style, the Multipocket bag with a worn effect, sticker-decked Bowlina bag alongside a slew of metal-accent boots and chunky-soled footwear.
