Listen to Tinashe's New ‘Match My Freak’ Remix EP
Collaborators reimagine the singer’s hit single “Nasty.”
Tinashe’s hit single “Nasty” has spawned a flurry of trends, particularly on TikTok as fans dance along to the chorus lyrics, “match my freak.” The single also marked the singer’s first entry onto the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist.
There are now five additional versions of “Nasty” out for streaming, courtesy of Tinashe’s new Match My Freak EP.
The project features five different remixes of the track from DJ Tunez, Wuki, UNIIQU3, Jane Remover and OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick.
DJ Tunez mixed the “Match My Heat” remix, while Wuki created “Match My Peak” and UNIIQU3 offered her take on “Match My Speed.” Jane Remover’s cut was called “Match My Tweak.” Virtually all of the remixes speed up the song, with the exception of the fifth and final remix, the slowed and warped “Match my Sleek” (ChopNotSlop) remix by OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick.
“Nasty” marks the first single off of Tinashe’s upcoming seventh studio LP, Quantum Baby. The LP is the second installment of a trilogy, following last year’s BB/ANG3L.
