Doja Cat Performs "ACKNOWLEDGE ME" on ‘Fallon’
Marking her second music performance on the show.
Doja Cat recently headed to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about her recent Coachella performance, the hairy outfit of course, show Jimmy Fallon some dance moves and even play Musical Genre Challange. Although Doja Cat has been on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as a music guest, this was the first time the star appeared as a talk show guest. Alongside the great conversation, Doja Cat also took to the show to perform “ACKNOWLEDGE ME,” which appears on Scarlet 2: Claude Deluxe Edition.
Of course, Doja Cat continues the hair theme for this performance as well as the singer dons a white hair jacket and body suit. But instead of rocking a long wig like her part of her Coachella performance, the rapper/singer opted to rock her blond buzzcut. Crisp yet mystical, the performance opens with harmonization from the supporting vocalists who are also dressed in all white – surrounded by a lowly cloud of fog for dramatic effect.
Overall the performance aptly mirrors the steady, deep and dually upbeat cadence of the song as the band and vocalists groove throughout the entire performance as Doja Cat moves between her rap and singing sections.
