Wales Bonner Spotlights Artisanal Craft in SS23 Accessories Campaign

Focusing on footwear and jewelry.

Fashion

Grace Wales Bonner’s eponymous label, Wales Bonner, has debuted its Spring/Summer 2023 accessories collection. Shot by Chris Rhodes, the campaign evokes an artisanal nature, emulating the craftsmanship that has gone into creating Wales Bonner’s jewelry and footwear that stands as the perfect accent to the designer’s emotional, charming SS23 runway collection.

Against the backdrop of oyster shells, tinted horsehair, pebbled leather, faux fur, and a zebra print chair, we find jewelry that was locally made in Krobo, Ghana by a selection of artisans. Each piece is totally unique, utilizing recycled glass beads, eggshell disc beads, freshwater pearls, and custom casted silver to form richly textured necklaces and daintier bracelets, perfect for layering beneath a Wales Bonner shirt.

As for footwear, the brand has worked with Himco, a facility from Italy, to produce loafers inspired by the traditional babouche slipper. Suede and animal prints clash with square-toe leather-strap sandals, while a pair of heeled ankle boots (not seen) also come to play this season.

Wales Bonner’s SS23 accessories can be seen in the gallery above and are available to purchase online now.

Elsewhere, HARRI’s SS23 collection is also now available to buy.
