Nike has just introduced their new upcoming shoe for the Nike Skateboarding line (Nike SB). According to Nike, the new Zoom TRE AD will be one of the lightest and most durable skate shoes on the skate market. The shoes feature Nike’s Free technology which provides maximum board feel and flexibility. It also has the usual like a rubber toecap, a Zoom Air Bag, a breathable tongue and more. Other than the nice functionality of the shoe, the Zoom TRE AD looks pretty good as well! You can watch an interview with Nike SB’s Lead Designer, James Arizumi, about this new shoe here.
There will be six colorways coming out throughout this year starting with March.
Every month, Nike will release new sneakers for the skateboarding line, Nike SB. Here is a look at the Nike SB sneakers for March 2008. New model for this month is a Nike SB Tre A.D. which is basically a re-invented Zoom Tre. There are some nice releases from this batch so do check them out at your local skate shop.

Movie wiseguy Ferris Bueller’s original movie poster outfit can be seen on this upcoming pair of Dunk High SBs. The white/gray/tan upper is complimented by a leopard print lining and flat laces. Stay tuned for more release details.

Movie covers form the inspiration for a new upcoming series of Nike SB’s. A look here features the Nike SB Dunk High Thashin’, inspired by the 1986 skateboard drama of the same name. The Dunk High can be seen with a wild and angular print on the upper with gradient swoosh. Stay tuned for more release details.

This is the second Tinker Hatfield P-Rod coming from Nike SB, the first being the Fuji P-Rod. Now, thanks for Kix Files, we get a detail look at the sneaker that Tinker Hatfield designed where he took elements of the Air Jordan 12 and the Air Jordan 15 and combined them to create the Nike SB HAT ROD Tinker Hatfield P-Rod 2. According to Nice Kicks:
“The side of the shoe features a black woven material similar to that of the Jordan 15, but the Jordan 12 is represented in many ways on the sneaker. First, the sole and toe cap were colored in the same University Blue. The toe cap leather is the textured just like that on the Jordan 12. This same leather also makes a hit on the black swoosh. On the back panel of the shoe you can see the star of the “rising sun” pattern that made its way to the Jordan 12. Not letting too many thing get pas us, Tinker added metal lace loops for the top two lace hole shaped just like, you guessed it, the Jordan 12.”

Nike SB has dropped some new jackets for Spring 2008. The best of the bunch include two subtle offerings in the Reversible Cement Print jacket and Speckle Zip Up. Available now at Nike SB dealers including Atmos.
Nick Tershay is probably best known to sneakerheads for creating one of the most sought after Dunk SB of all time, the Diamond aka. Tiffany Dunk. Kent Uyehara from FTC (a skateshop/brand from San Francisco) had a chance to interview Nick about several topics including how the Diamond Dunk came about, how he started his career. Nike Skateboarding has released their upcoming styles for Mmarquee releases include the Skate or Die Dunk Low, Fender Dunk Mid and Air Trainer II TW which first debuted with that hype-fest Supreme release. Other releases include a P-rod II, Blazer Low, Zoom Team Edition and Zoom Regime. These aren’t the full range of releases with other limited edition drops as well, however the roster shown here should all be hitting stores now.
Last weekend, The Bright tradeshow took place in Frankfurt, Germany. At the show, Nike SB showed off some of their upcoming sneakers for 2008. From the pictures, it looks like there will be the regular fare of the Dunks however there seems to be a high version of the P-Rod II coming out as well. We can’t wait to see more picture of that shoe.

Nike SB will soon be releasing a new Dunk inspired by the retro video game “Skate or Die”. “Skate or Die” was released in 1987 by Electronic Arts for the consoles ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Atari ST, MS-DOS, Apple IIgs and Amstrad CPC. It was a popular game where you could compete in events such as down hill races and freestyle ramp events. The Nike “Skate or Die” Dunk features the colors and patterns from the “Skate or Die” game cover. Look for these SB’s to come out in February at your local skate shops or at Essense.
Nike’s last few releases have played to the tune of a music inspired themes with recent sneakers including a Dunk Low Gibson (based on Gibson guitar case) and Dunk Low Strummer (based on Fender Telecaster guitar). Another release for January is a Dunk High based off of Marshall Amps with the use of characteristic colors such as black, red and gold. Check your local Nike SB dealer for availability.

Although these Nike SB Dunk High’s were slated for a 2006 release, these never made it out of the cutting room. The sutured upper on these samples is not even the defining point of these high’s but rather the crazy interlaced hay in the sole.
