Description
Jimmy Wu is a native Taiwanese entrepreneur and founder of the premier streetwear retail store Invincible.
Having lived in New York for most of his life, Wu was passionate about buying and reselling sneakers. Seeing a gap in the market for a combined sneaker and lifestyle-drive boutique in his hometown, Taipei, Wu returned in 2006 to establish what is now one of the most dominant streetwear retailers in the region, Invincible. In line with consumer demand, Invincible has evolved from an apparel store into a dedicated footwear store, overseeing Carhartt and RedWings, as well as regularly undertaking collaborative footwear projects with major footwear brands.
At Invincible, Wu aimed to construct a creative and dynamic space that not only provides a more lifestyle-oriented consumer experience, but is also well-suited to hosting events such as exhibitions and product releases. Wu has also hinted at the prospect of developing a house label in the near future.
