Description

Italian luxury house Bulgari was founded 1884 by Sotirios Voulgaris and was initially known for its silver jewelry pieces. Under Sotirios’ two sons, the brand began to reach new levels in the mid 20th century, attracting famous fans from around the world. Bulgari continued to move into new areas, introducing its first watch in 1977, founding Bulgari Time in the early 1980s and launching its first fragrance in 1993. Following this, Bulgari moved into accessories with silk scarves, leather goods and eyewear across the 1990s. After a period of huge growth at the turn of the millennium, Bulgari entered a strategic partnership with LVMH in which the French conglomerate talk a majority stake in the Italian house.
