Staple x Timberland 2015 #POLARNIGHT Footwear Collection

Staple and Timberland join forces to release the #POLARNIGHT footwear collection for 2015. Both brands hail from the Northeast, where gear is designed to be all-weather and able to withstand harsh conditions while still being comfortable. Staple’s design team drew inspiration from a phenomenon called polar night, where in certain regions of the Earth at certain times of the year, the darkness lasts for more than 24 hours. This oddity of nature was manifested into a three-piece footwear collection, fusing Staple’s design aesthetic with Timberland’s expertise in all-weather footwear. The collection includes the Lace Ox, inspired by Timberland’s original Abington Cap-Toe oxford, the GT Scramble, and the Nordic Field boot. All three pairs in the collection were designed with the spirit of perseverance needed to thrive in harsh conditions.
