Staple's 3rd series of releases have just been unveiled. Heavily rooted in the conceptual aspect of design, the t-shirts are a return to Staple's theme regarding "Education". The collection includes highlights such as a further DJ Muro collaboration as well as To Kill a Mockingbird effort with the book's author Harper Lee. To compliment the t-shirt line is also the addition of a solid cut & sew program involving various button-up shirts and water resistant jackets/shorts. Available now at Reed Space, however fully expect this collection to be available at select Staple retailers very soon.

jeffstaple, founder of Staple Design, shows us some of the new pieces for Staple's 2008 Spring Collection. The collection includes tees, track jackets, track pants, and long-sleeve polos, all with basic colors such as white, gray, and black. All the designs seem to have a school theme with tees that feature the never-ending Pi number and one that shows Einstein as a teacher. Every piece has a conceptually-driven design with nice details. The folks at Staple gives us another solid collection, always making designs that are a little more than it seems.

Here we preview the best Staple collection as of late, as seen on jeffstaple's blog. The basic style fused with strong aesthetics is key here, and nothing is over the top as Staple lets the detail and quality do the talking. A far cry from loud graphic tees and Dunks, jeffstaple provides remixed M-65s, a lightweight running windbreaker and a Napa Leather jacket. Even without closeups you can see the quality in the safari shirts and cargo pants. The one tee featured has a hint of jeffstaple's hip-hop oriented roots with the most basic graphic possible, an equation that lets the numbers do the talking: '93 Til Infinity.

In a special gathering of friends and close associates, jeffstaple previewed his 2008 Staple fall collection. Conceding that his line has grown leaps and bounds and begun a journey of maturation, we look forward to this collection. Is there a Staple x Honda Zoomer scooter (or some sort of vehicular transport) on the way?

Following up on their 10th anniversary in 2007, Staple Design is entering their 11th year with a new direction. As they transition into the new decade, the "Teachers Work Harder Than You Do. No Matter What You Do" collective embodies the same design aesthetic and visual communication skills which has put Staple at the innovative forefront since it's inception. For jeffstaple, this latest collection will carry a more mature look, focusing more then ever on fabrics, cuts and styles. Always being inspired by the institution of eduction, the collection is themed after teachers and professors.
So profound the effect of his teachers and profs, jeffstaple named the collection after his high school teachers which paved the way for jeffstaple's success. The capsule is broken into various stages of staple's life, referencing specific times and events.
The highlights of the collection encompass a variety of different styles, the Nappa Leather Jacket, Gingham Check Rain Poncho, Technical M-65 Jacket, Pinstripe Hooded Cardigan, Buttondown Shirts, Leather/Canvas Bankers Tote Bag, DJ Muro Collaboration Series of Tees and more. 80% of the collection is produced directly in New York City, as the line tries to reinvigorate the art of design and production in the United States.
