PROTECT gives Salomon’s technical ACS NEXT a sugar-rush makeover with the aptly named “Slushie,” channeling the fluorescent colors and childhood nostalgia of the frozen drink into a distinctly graphic runner.
First look images shared by PROTECT via its Instagram previews the silhouette in a “Lava Falls/Cyber Yellow” palette. A red-to-blue gradient washes across the mesh base, shifting from cherry-like crimson through cooler blue tones, while metallic silver overlays introduce a reflective, almost foil-like finish across the toe and supporting panels. Stark white elements cut through the saturated base, with flashes of “Cyber Yellow” adding another high-visibility layer to the deliberately playful palette.
The louder color treatment still leaves the ACS NEXT’s technical framework clearly visible. Its layered cage and streamlined trail-running construction are paired with a vivid blue midsole, while yellow accents appear around the lacing, tongue and heel to reinforce the slushie-inspired theme. PROTECT co-branding further distinguishes the pair, including its star motif and additional graphic details that bring the London label’s youth-culture-driven visual language into Salomon’s performance-oriented design vocabulary.
