UNIQLO and JW Anderson have unveiled their Fall/Winter 2026 collection, a season rooted in the worlds of theater and academic culture. Announced in New York, the lineup pairs vintage-inspired details with practical function across 13 womenswear pieces, 12 menswear pieces and four accessories. The result reads like a well-worn campus wardrobe, sharpened with modern proportions and cold-weather performance.
Outerwear sets the tone, with shortened lengths running through the season’s key jackets. The genderless Short Blouson pairs a cropped body with a relaxed silhouette for a contemporary take on a classic zip-up, shown here in a deep burgundy with a gathered hem and cuffs. For women, the Padded Short Jacket delivers soft, generous padding in a boxy charcoal shape finished with oversized flap pockets, blending volume with everyday practicality.
Layering pieces round out the cold-weather offering. Men get a Windproof Fleece Jacket, while women receive a Fleece Short Blouson, both designed around a comfortable fit that slips easily under or over other garments. The women’s Pleated Skirt adds movement to the mix through an asymmetric cut, offering a dressier counterpoint to the collection’s utilitarian outerwear.
Knitwear carries much of the collection’s academic character. The Lambswool Fair Isle Crew Neck Sweater wraps an oatmeal base in red and pale blue motifs, while V-neck sweaters and crew neck vests arrive in an array of colorways and bold patterns. Underneath, the Flannel Boxy Shirt works a cream-and-black check into a cropped, open-collar shape, and the Straight Work Pants and faded, distressed Straight Jeans anchor the looks with relaxed, straight-leg cuts.
Anderson framed the season as a meeting point between the stage and the classroom. “This season reflects the worldview of theater and academic culture, the intersections of unbound creativity. Building on traditional styles, we’ve created a collection that incorporates colors, patterns, and functionality to be enjoyed in a range of everyday settings,” Jonathan Anderson said in a statement.
Accessories finish the uniform with the same varsity spirit. A ribbed Wool Cashmere Beanie in forest green and a navy Wool Cashmere Stole striped in red and light blue lead the cold-weather extras, joined by a navy Shoulder Bag. HEATTECH Socks complete the set in argyle, stripes and two-tone colorblocking, giving even the smallest pieces in the lineup a dose of pattern.
The JW ANDERSON x UNIQLO Fall/Winter 2026 collection drops October 15, with the full lineup available at 15 UNIQLO stores in the US and online.
