S-KLUB LA and Mercedes-Benz have collaborated with Drake to create a custom 1999 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Safari Edition. The one-of-one restomod reinterprets the classic G-Wagon silhouette into an open-air safari build customized specifically for the Toronto artist’s personal collection.
Built by California-based vehicle customizer S-KLUB LA using a rare 1999 Europa-imported G500 as the base, the standard enclosed roof structure has been removed in favor of a 2-door open-air safari configuration. A custom-engineered steel roof rail system and integrated tubular roll cage frame the exposed cabin, with the top rack modification featuring bold custom “ICEMAN” lettering that nods to Drake’s active album era.
The front fascia undergoes a signature transformation, replacing the factory three-pointed star with a custom gold-accented OVO owl badge positioned directly in the center of the front grille. The bespoke design language continues inside the open cabin with custom leather upholstery, tailored floor trim, and handcrafted interior accents that blend late-90s utility with October’s Very Own luxury detailing.
