Hermès continues its exploration of artistic crafts with the Arceau Cheval Natté, a limited‑edition timepiece that transforms silk into horology. Originally designed by Tong Ren for home accessories, the motif now finds expression on the Arceau dial, where nearly 400 silk threads are meticulously laid to create a horse’s head in geometric silhouette. The result is a vibrant composition that plays with light, depth and texture, embodying Hermès’ tradition of blending equestrian heritage with bold craftsmanship.
Two interpretations are offered: one luminous with vivid hues, and another in deeper tones of black, red and brown. Both dials are enhanced by 123 diamonds and precise champlevé engraving, creating a dialogue between silk and precious stones. Framed by a 38mm rose gold case, the watch features a bezel set with 70 diamonds and a crown adorned with a single diamond.
Visible through the anti-glare sapphire crystal caseback is the self-winding Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement, which beats at 28,800 vph, offers a 50-hour power reserve and features the house’s signature “sprinkling of Hs” decoration.
