PUMA and The Whitaker Group are expanding their long-running partnership with the launch of CODA, a new multi-season storytelling platform that looks beyond product to explore how culture is inherited, reimagined and ultimately pushed forward.

Named after the concluding passage of a musical composition, CODA reframes the term as the moment between an ending and a new beginning. It’s that transitional space where ideas, movements, and cultural touchstones are passed from one generation to the next, only to be challenged, reshaped and transformed into something entirely new.

The platform debuts with a teaser film establishing the tone for what PUMA and The Whitaker Group describe as an ongoing exploration of sport, style, design, and community. Future chapters will spotlight creators, artists and tastemakers who reinterpret what they’ve inherited through footwear, apparel, storytelling, experiences, and creative collaborations.

“Legacy is often viewed as a destination, but we believe it is a responsibility,” said James Whitner, founder of The Whitaker Group. “What we inherit is only part of the story. The greater challenge is determining what we build from it.”

For PUMA, the initiative also reinforces its continued investment in the communities shaping contemporary sport and street culture. “Through the CODA platform, we are purposefully reinvesting in the creators, tastemakers, and communities that continue to shape and propel this culture,” said Tara McRae, President of PUMA North America.

As the platform unfolds across multiple seasons, PUMA and The Whitaker Group will look beyond sneakers and apparel as the end goal, treating CODA as the starting point for a broader conversation around influence, identity, and cultural evolution.
