Following successful store openings across Australia, Europe, and Asia, the Melbourne-based cycling apparel brand MAAP has established its first North American presence with the MAAP LaB Los Angeles. This new retail concept store, situated on the famous Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice Beach, marks the brand’s eighth global location and a significant step in its international expansion.

The new space, designed with a consistent aesthetic by Clare Cousins Architects, is a vibrant hub for the cycling community. Its interior features stunning original exposed brick and wood rafters, creating a welcoming and communal atmosphere. A social coffee bar sits at the heart of the space, inviting riders and locals to connect and share experiences both on and off the bike.

The store embodies the “Life Around Bikes” ethos, fostering real-world connections and celebrating the passion for cycling. MAAP co-founder & co-CEO Oliver Cousins said in a statement, “The launch of MAAP LaB Los Angeles represents a defining moment for us as a brand.
