Update: The NBA Playoffs have begun and LeBron James, after a slow start in his first game, proved yet again that he still has what it takes to perform at the highest level, securing a pivotal game two victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He did so while wearing the latest entry in his long-running “Dunkman” series — a silver and green take on the LeBron 22. The shoe, which we previewed previously below, has now officially been unveiled by the Swoosh ahead of its new expected release date of May 1, when it is expected to be made available via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD.

The veteran superstar just clinched a position in this season’s NBA Playoffs with a key win over the Dallas Mavericks last night, putting on a show with Luka Dončić, who just returned to the American Airlines Center for the first time since the Mavericks shocked the world by trading the young phenom.
As King James and company gear up for the playoffs, Nike is preparing to drop more LeBron 22s. An early preview of a new colorway reveals that the duo are reprising the “Dunkman” series this year. James’ Dunkman logo depicts him catching flight, winding up to put away a powerful dunk. It’s been spotted throughout his signature shoe line, most recently landing on the LeBron 18, and now returns via embroidery at the medial midfoot of this new colorway. Elsewhere, the pair sees a “Light Bone” presentation of the shoe accented by “Vapor Green” detailing, offering a sleek finish for the low-top sneaker.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet indicated when LeBron James’ “Dunkman” series will be continuing with this new take on the LeBron 22.
