This Air Jordan 4 PE Celebrates San Diego State University
Offering a luxe rendition of the sneaker that features gilded accents.
San Diego State University signed with Jordan Brand in 2018, becoming the eighth men’s basketball team in the Jordan lineup at the time. Since then, the school has had many notable results, including a run to the NCAA Tournament’s championship game in 2023. This year, the Aztecs ended up taking on the University of North Carolina, a fellow Jordan Brand school, in the First Four round, where they ultimately fell to the Tar Heels.
However, before the season-ending loss, the Jumpman team presented the SDSU team with the school’s very own Air Jordan 4 PE, expanding the “First Class” series that we’ve previously covered. Now, the English Sole team has put together another rare pair breakdown, highlighting the special sneaker. Various grays are layered across this take on the Air Jordan 4, with an SDSU-branded hangtag and dubrae arriving in a shimmering gold. The lineup of gilded hardware present for the shoe continues at the Jumpman branding found on the tongue and heel, both of which sport a crystal basketball in the hand of Jordan as he takes flight.
Given its designation as a school-exclusive PE, this Air Jordan 4 “San Diego State University” colorway is unlikely to ever be made available to the public. According to English Sole, under 50 pairs were produced and distributed to those affiliated with the school.
