Zendaya Joins Cast of 'Shrek 5'
Taking on the role of Shrek and Fiona’s daughter.
Zendaya is heading to the swamp as she officially joins the voice cast of the upcoming Shrek 5.
The news was announced by Universal Pictures in a cast announcement video, which previewed the A-list star in the role of Shrek and Fiona’s daughter, Felicia. Also teased in the short visual are the return of Mike Myers as the titular character, Cameron Diaz as Fiona and Eddie Murphy as Donkey, who asks the Magic Mirror, “Who’s the fairest of them all?”
In addition to the video, the film’s official Instagram account went on to share a tweet Zendaya wrote in August 2017 that read, “I watch Shrek too often in my adulthood.”
Previous Shrek crew Walt Dohrn, who wrote and did art on Shrek 2, and Conrad Vernon, the Shrek 2 director, Shrek 4 head of story and voice of both Gingerbread Man and Rumpelstilskin, will be co-directing the new film.
