The TV series adaptation of Bethesda’s Fallout video game franchise is officially the second most-watched title on Prime Video.

Amazon revealed that the show garnered 65 million viewers in its first 16 days following its series premiere on April 10. In addition to being the service’s second most-watched program, it is also Prime Video’s most-watched title since The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted in 2022.

Furthermore, Amazon stated that Fallout is the most-watched ever among adults from the ages of 18 to 34 years old and that 60% of the viewers are located outside the United States, with the UK, France and Brazil showing up with strong numbers. Variety notes, however, that Amazon itself did not explain the methodology behind its viewership.

Fallout stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Walton Goggins in the main cast. The series is set 200 years after the nuclear apocalypse and “follows a community of people living in luxury fallout shelters who are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and they’re shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.” The show was recently renewed for a second season.
