Kanye West’s long-awaited album Jesus Is King is opening on top of this week’s Billboard 200 chart, garnering a total of 264,000 album units. Of that number, 109,000 were in album sales, 3,000 in track equivalent units and 151,000 in streaming equivalent album units, with the latter equating to 196.9 million on-demand audio streams for the 11 tracks. This marks Ye’s ninth straight album to debut at No. 1, officially tying with Eminem for most consecutive No. 1 openers and No. 1s on the chart.

On top of the debut on the Billboard 200, the album has also landed No. 1 on the Top Christian and Top Gospel Album charts. Jesus Is King marks the biggest unit week on the chart since its adaptation of a multi-metric methodology in February 2017.

Falling down to No. 2 is Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding, followed by Rex Orange County’s major-label debut Pony opening at No. 3 with 70,000 equivalent album units. YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s former chart-topper AI YoungBoy 2 moves down to No. 4, along with Summer Walker’s Over It, DaBaby’s KIRK and Taylor Swift’s Lover at Nos. 5, 6 and 7 respectively.

Billie Eilish continues her descent down the chart as WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? falls at No. 8, while country group Old Diminion debuts at No. 9 with their self-titled record. Young Thug closes this week’s Billboard 200 as So Much Fun drops from No. 7 to No. 10.

Elsewhere in music, J. Cole has teased a new album with a satirical political ad.
