Outerknown Joins Breitling For a New Eco-Minded Superocean Watch

Esteemed Swiss luxury watch maker Breitling has linked up once again with sustainability-minded apparel label Outerknown and its founder Kelly Slater to create a new Superocean model as well as an eco-friendly collection of NATO straps designed to accompany any Breitling you may have.
The collaborative Superocean comes in a 44mm stainless steel case with a matte green unidirectional bezel surrounding a dial in the same tone. The watch is powered by the brand’s very own Caliber 17 self-winding movement, which holds a power reserve of 38 hours. Completing the look is a khaki green Outerknown NATO strap constructed with ECONYL yarn, a material made from repurposed nylon waste taken from the ocean. The strap itself forms part of a larger collection of ECONYL straps that Outerknown have designed for Breitling, coming in a variety of colors from orange or red to blue or grey, with sizes ranging from 18mm to 24mm.
