Opening Ceremony Revives '80s Cult Brand Skidz
As seen on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
For today’s installment of we-didn’t-know-we-needed-this, Opening Ceremony reveals its first revival collection for ’80s cult brand Skidz.
Skidz was popular in America for its pajamas-like cotton pants sporting an array of patterns, from basic checks to neon zebra stripes. If it still doesn’t ring a bell, check out some of Will’s fits in the early episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. For OC’s inaugural Skidz collection however, the brand delivers a range of hoodies and trousers with simple plaid designs in brown, purple, red and green. Rounding out the nostalgic offering is a classic logo tee with the iconic black-and-yellow Skidz car graphic.
With prices ranging from $35 to $145 USD, Opening Ceremony’s Skidz collection is currently available at openingceremony.com. In related news, Astrid Anderson and FILA presented a line of elevated sportswear pieces.
