Balenciaga's Retro "Speedhunters" Hoodie Scratches That '90s Itch

Demna Gvasalia‘s Balenciaga has built its name on oversized garments tinged with ironic graphics and retro influence, redefining luxury fashion in the process. This black Fall/Winter 2018 “Speedhunters” hoodie may be the most identifiable signifier of the brand’s design ethos, with a slouchy cut and subtle detailing complementing a throwback screenprinted graphic. Along with the name, group photo and tour dates of a fake ’90s boy band, the hoodie sports an elongated elastic hem, jet pockets and snap pocket closure at the hood in place of drawstrings.
