YouTube TV will offer subscribers one week of free service following the backlash of its outage during the 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinal match. Subscription users were notified today of the offer in an apology email for the interruption of its services, and “To help make this right” YouTube has offered the credit saying users will “receive another email soon, confirming your account has been credited.”

The company has also clarified pre-recorded videos of the full game will be available in the subscriber’s library. This follows YouTube’s initiative of streaming all 64 matches of the World Cup for free and its subsequent 30-minute interruption during the match between England and Croatia.
