Following its introduction of the GR HV Sports Concept a few months back, Toyota has revealed its GR Super Sport Concept, which borrows many of its influences from race cars. The carbon fiber chassis and powertrain of the vehicle shares some main components of the company’s WEC TS050 race car and is equipped with 13-inch-wide slick tires.
Tall wide fenders, along with a huge rear wing and narrow cabin, complete its race car aesthetic. It also sports a twin-turbocharged hybrid V6 with 986 horsepower. Gazoo Racing’s president, Shigeki Tomoyama states: “although it will be some time before you all have the opportunity to get behind the wheel, I hope that the GR Super Sport Concept will give you a taste of what we aim to achieve with our next-generation sports cars.” Look through the gallery above and share your thoughts below.
