Summary

L.L.Bean and Dunkin' have teamed up for the first time on a capsule that remixes two of L.L.Bean's most recognizable pieces

The Birdseye Sweater gets a custom Dunkin'-inspired pattern, while the Boat and Tote picks up the coffee chain's signature orange and pink

L.L.Bean and Dunkin‘ have unveiled their first-ever collaboration, a limited-edition capsule that gives L.L.Bean’s Birdseye Sweater and Boat and Tote a Dunkin’ makeover. The two New England brands are rolling it out over the first week of fall with giveaways, an in-store event and a traveling Bootmobile, before the full collection launches on National Coffee Day.

The capsule centers on two L.L.Bean staples. The Birdseye Sweater, one of the brand’s classic knits, returns with a custom version of its signature Birdseye pattern designed around Dunkin’. The Boat and Tote swaps its familiar colorways for Dunkin’ orange and pink and adds embroidered L.L.Bean and Dunkin’ logos, turning the heritage carryall into a cobranded piece.

“L.L.Bean and Dunkin’ are iconic brands that have called New England home for decades,” said Nick Wilkoff, chief marketing officer at L.L.Bean. “We wanted to create something that feels familiar and fun, bringing a touch of Dunkin’ to two L.L.Bean favorites that have been a part of people’s fall traditions for generations.”

Two coffee accessories round out the rollout. The first was a limited-edition cup sleeve that mimics a tiny Birdseye Sweater wrapped around a Dunkin’ cup. It was handed out with any hot or iced coffee purchase at participating Dunkin’ locations. The second, the L.L.Bean Coffee Tote, arrives on National Coffee Day through Dunkin’s merch site and at select Dunkin’ locations in Maine.

The L.L.Bean x Dunkin’ Birdseye Sweater and Boat and Tote drop September 29 online, with early access at L.L.Bean Seaport in Boston on September 27. The L.L.Bean Coffee Tote releases the same day online and at select Dunkin’ locations in Maine.
