New Balance has officially unveiled the Maxey V1, marking the debut signature performance basketball sneaker for Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey. The model transitions from its initial on-court debut during the 2026 NBA Playoffs to a full commercial release.
The Maxey V1 integrates performance technology with New Balance’s lifestyle aesthetic. Drawing structural cues from the 9060, the low-cut silhouette incorporates wavy paneling across the upper, a sculpted midsole, and a contoured heel shape. The lacing setup borrows subtle influence from the 2002 model, creating a distinct low-profile design that intentionally scales back heavy reliance on the traditional “N” logo.
Engineered for dynamic guard play, the shoe features a FuelCell-cushioned midsole paired with a specialized two-piece plate system instead of a standard full-length plate. The midfoot and arch are constructed to keep the foot securely contained during high-speed cuts, while a multidirectional rubber outsole delivers optimized court traction.
The New Balance Maxey V1 debuts in a black and blue colorway on October 2, 2026, for $130 USD via New Balance and select retailers, with additional colorways slated to follow across the 2026–27 NBA season.
