Warsaw-based Tylko has spent the past ten years building bespoke shelving units and, more recently, sofas that redefine how furniture can seamlessly fit into modern life. Now, the brand is amplifying its product range through sound with the launch of its debut hi-fi collection.

The new range was initially conceptualized during the curation of Tylko Space Berlin – the brand’s first showroom – where architect Paul Cournet of multidisciplinary studio CLOUD experimented with putting sound systems into its units. Defying misconceptions that audio becomes augmented in built-in structures, Cournet partnered with Rotterdam-based audio engineering studio Form Follows Frequency and developed a model that not only sustained high-quality sound but gave it a deeper base and better resonance.

“The incredible relationship between sound and architecture is achieved through design,” reflects Cournet on the sound system. “Here, the speaker is the perfect vehicle for that experience. With Tylko Sound you turn your home into the perfect listening room.”

For the full collection, Tylko channels this convergence of audio and architecture through crafting the Coax Speaker from Baltic birch plywood. As well as minimizing audio disruption, the material is designed to complement the brand’s shelving solutions, in which it is designed to be housed.

The core component of the hi-fi range can be dialled up with add-on subwoofers, made from the same hardwearing material. Customers can also shop the speakers from a range of high-gloss colorways, including “Signal Red,” “Mint Green,” and “Chalk White”, each adding a premium look to spaces.

Speaking on the design, Tylko co-founder Ben Kuna shares, “Somewhere along the way, people stopped really hearing music. That kind of listening – intentional, attentive – has quietly disappeared from most homes. Music is one of the strongest carriers of emotion, yet we’ve stopped making space for it in our daily lives. With Tylko Sound, we wanted to bring it back.”

Shop the debut Tylko Sound hi-fi collection online now, with prices starting at €500 EUR (approx. $570 USD).
