Expanding on their longstanding partnership, this latest collaborative sneaker gives New Balance a fresh platform, stepping away from familiar lifestyle models to deliver a technical aesthetic. Timed around the World Cup, the release is part of a broader collection that also includes co-branded clothing, a soccer cleat, and a second 1890 colorway.
The 1890 “Deep Forest” sets a distinct tone with a forest green ripstop mesh across the upper, providing a technical look that aligns seamlessly with Stone Island’s signature design language. Cream accents provide subtle contrast on the side “N” logo and the iconic Stone Island compass badge featured prominently on the tongue. To break up the green base with a rougher texture, a shaggy black suede heel panel is incorporated into the design.
