Summary

  • Leica debuts the 4K Cine Compact 1 smart mini projector
  • A 360-degree rotation system ensures flexible, automated image alignment
  • Launching June 18, it seamlessly integrates premium optics with streaming

Leica has launched a new addition to its projector lineup, introducing the Cine Compact 1, a highly flexible mini projector designed for modern home entertainment.

Designed with a solid aluminium Bauhaus‑style housing and an elegant glass front, the projector balances durability with refined aesthetics. This plug-and-play device delivers up to 1,700 lumens of brightness and can project screen sizes up to 220 inches. At the heart of the projector is a meticulously tuned optical system featuring a Leica Summicron zoom lens with aspherical elements, a 0.47” DMD image chip, and energy-efficient Triple RGB laser technology.

Together with Leica Image Optimization (LIO™) and Dolby Vision, the system produces razor-sharp 4K images characterized by precise contrasts, crisp details and natural colors, ensuring consistently high display quality whether on walls, ceilings, or outdoor surfaces.

Flexibility defines the Cine Compact 1, with its integrated 360° rotation system, automatic zoom, autofocus, keystone correction, and intelligent screen framing for effortless setup. Connectivity is equally robust, thanks to the VIDAA operating system with direct access to Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime, alongside support for Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, HDMI and USB.

Priced at £1,450 GBP (approx. $1,850 USD), the projector will be available starting June 18, 2026, across Leica’s webstore and physical stores in the UK, Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, with Japan following in July.
