Drawing inspiration from the electric pulse of Tokyo’s subterranean club scene, the GUCCIMAZE x Vans Premium Authentic 44 DL reinterprets a classic skate icon through an ultra-futuristic lens. At first glance, the shoe adopts an understated, matte black aesthetic across its durable dual-layer nylon upper. However, this exterior is engineered to evolve over time, with the outer material naturally scratching, abrading, or tearing away with daily wear — revealing a hidden layer of vibrant neon green underneath. This inner layer reveals the Tokyo-based graphic artist’s signature sharp, three-dimensional typography and nightclub-inspired motifs, transforming every pair into a living canvas of personalized wear.
Underfoot, the traditional foxing tape of the tattered white midsole is heavily textured with a repeating, embossed GUCCIMAZE “M” monogram that wraps entirely around the shoe, eventually resting on a custom co-branded outsole.
