The momentum behind Nike SB‘s latest crossover project is showing no signs of slowing down. As the skateboarding division continues its ambitious mission to revamp the iconic Air Force 1 for the grip tape, a brand-new colorway has emerged to get fans ready for the cooler months. Dubbed the Nike SB Air Force 1 Low “Light Chocolate,” this upcoming release gives the remixed classic one of its cleanest and most skate-ready aesthetics yet.

First teased on the feet of Nike SB team riders during the brand’s recent “Creased” tour and in footage from Johnny Wilson’s skate videos, the “Light Chocolate” colorway has been building serious hype in the underground scene. Based on clear sample images recently shared by @sbobsessor, the upper is completely drenched in a rich, buttery brown suede. This earth-toned base is sharply broken up by stealthy black accents across the Swoosh, laces, heel tab, tongue label, and midsole.

For longtime SB heads, the color blocking feels incredibly nostalgic. The heavy brown and black contrast leans right into a classic Nike SB lane, bearing a strong resemblance to the beloved 2007 Nike SB Dunk Low “Mocha/Tweed.” While it isn’t an official callback, it perfectly captures that golden-era skate shoe energy.

Most importantly, Nike SB isn’t just changing the colors—they are fundamentally re-engineering the shoe for the streets. While keeping the Air Force 1’s legendary shape fully intact, the SB version features crucial performance updates. Skaters can expect a heavily reworked midsole designed for enhanced boardfeel, alongside beefed-up padding around the tongue and sockliner to ensure maximum impact protection and comfort during heavy sessions.
