Curated shopping platform Basic.Space has announced its inaugural UK event, set to take place at The Old Selfridges Hotel in June.

Marking the first international stop in the platform’s multi-city event series, which has previously touched down in Los Angeles and New York, the three-day pop-up will span design, art, fashion and sound, with a lineup that mixes London talent and international names.

“London has always been one of my favorite places in the world because of its influence in shaping culture whether it’s music or the arts as a broader category,” founder Jesse Lee told Hypebeast. “There’s a certain respect for the underground and excitement for something subversive that can become popular – without compromise.”

UK-based participants include Samuel Ross, Completedworks, designer Jabez Bartlett, Loewe Craft Prize finalist Jobe Burns, and gallerist Max Radford. London-based gallery Carpenters Workshop Gallery will present works by Rick Owens, Karl Lagerfeld, Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé, while Berlin-based Illya Goldman Gubin and Warsaw-born Marcin Rusak are set to bring their own works.

“Not only will the curation reflect London but it’s also adaptive to the physical space – a raw, brutalist environment within the Old Selfridges Hotel,” Lee added. “It will be experimental and immersive but also familiar to those who expect the unexpected. Think the very best creative talent in design, art, fashion, and sound juxtaposed against a traditional fair or shopping environment.”

Aside from “design” in its most traditional, furniture sense, Telepathic Instruments, the music tech company co-founded by Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, will use the event to debut a limited-edition transparent version of their chord-based synthesizer.

Also on view will be PLATFORM:, the art e-commerce destination acquired by Basic.Space in 2025, will mount an exhibition spotlighting London-based galleries Nicoletti and Albion Jeune.

Tickets are available now from the Basic.Space website, with opening hours slated to be 11am to 7pm on both days.
