Dyson has officially unveiled the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, marking the company’s highly anticipated entry into the portable handheld fan market. Known for its premium air treatment and floorcare tools, the brand is now translating its elite cooling technology into an accessible, travel-friendly format designed for life on the move.
Weighing in at a mere 7.5 ounces and measuring just 38 millimeters in diameter, the compact device houses a powerful brushless DC motor that spins at up to 65,000 RPM. This advanced engineering generates an impressive airflow speed of up to 55 miles per hour, or 80 feet per second. Users can navigate between five distinct airflow speeds, alongside a dedicated “Boost” mode for an immediate, intense blast of cooling air.
Acoustics play a central role in the fan’s construction, with Dyson specifically designing the nozzle to eliminate any whining or high-pitched whirring during operation. Arriving initially in a mother-of-pearl-inspired stone and blush finish, the gadget comes equipped with a suite of practical accessories. Each unit includes a dedicated charging stand, a USB-C charging cable, a travel pouch, and a lanyard for hands-free carrying around the neck.
The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool drops April 9 via Dyson for $99 USD.
