Dave Chappelle could be reviving his defining comedy series, Chappelle’s Show.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, the legendary comedian is reconsidering the future of his most iconic television project. “If you’d asked me that question a year ago, I’d have told you absolutely not,” Chappelle said. “But in the last few weeks … I’m considering it.”

The original Comedy Central series debuted in 2003, quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon driven by its boundary-pushing sketches and unforgettable humor. However, Chappelle famously walked away from the massive success during the production of its third season, citing creative burnout and concerns over the show’s direction. An abbreviated final season was ultimately released in 2006.

Since his return to the spotlight in 2017, the comedian has released a number of specials, including nine stand-up comedy specials with Netflix.
